Welcome to Rugby League’s online Junior Welfare & Social Responsibility Program.

To give you some background, the Game has introduced this work to raise awareness in the League community about understanding what is expected from players and officials who participate in Rugby League.

Outline of what to expect from program information:

What you will find as you go through the series of information units is that the program has been separated into “social issue modules”, with a focus on being able to find appropriate contacts where more information or help is required.

To be successful in the game, means your behaviour and attitude needs to match what the League sets out in its VALUES and CODES of CONDUCT.

The Game’s Codes of Conduct document is available for viewing on this website, and is also freely available through State and National Leagues.

The core Values of the Game are set out below:

The information that has been presented is designed to give you knowledge about a range of topics – social issues such as ALCOHOL, ILLICIT DRUGS, SOCIAL MEDIA, GAMBLING, VILIFICATION & BULLYING – are covered in this Program.

The information contained on the website, as part of the Junior Welfare Program, will hopefully give you enough knowledge so that you can make informed, responsible choices.

We invite you to look at these modules as an opportunity to learn.  How the Game views behaviour of its players and officials is becoming more refined, and as Rugby League representatives, this work is a way for you to move with the Game, being proud of its tradition, history and place within the Australian sporting landscape.
