
FIERCE rivals South Sydney and Sydney Roosters will officially kick-off the 2008 NRL season at Telstra Stadium.
The fierce rivals will play the round one match from 7.30pm on Friday March 14.
Gold Coast and North Queensland will also play on March 14, but they will kick-off at 8.30pm (EDT) at Skilled Park, Robina.
Also in round one, Parramatta will play the Bulldogs at 5.30pm on March 15 before Manly host Cronulla at Brookvale and Newcastle play Canberra at EnergyAustralia Stadium.
Brisbane play Penrith on the Sunday afternoon, with Wests Tigers playing St George Illawarra at the SCG.
Melbourne's premiership defence begins on the Monday night, against New Zealand at Telstra Dome.
The Roosters play Brisbane and Souths confront the Bulldogs in the two Friday night matches in round two.
The round two Monday night game will be St George Illawarra against Gold Coast in Wollongong.
