2008 Representative Coaching Positions Announced

Andrew Korn has been appointed by the WARL Board as the Senior State Representative Team Coach for 2008; the team will play in the Senior Affiliated States Championships, which will be hosted by Alice Springs in June. The coach of the Championship winning team also goes on to coach the Australian Affiliated States Team.

Andrew Korn has had a very active role in Rugby League in Western Australia, with both State Representative Teams and the South Perth Rugby League Club where he has lead them to win WARL Premierships in 2002, 2004 & 2005. He took the WA Senior Representative Team in 2005 to victory and went on to Coach the Australian Affiliated States Team who played the Cook Islands Representative Team in the Cook Islands.

Justin Nixon has been appointed the Assistant Coach of the WA Reds and the WA State Representative Team. He will join the WA Reds coaching staff of Chris Dever (Head Coach) and Matt Fuller (Strength and Conditioning Coach), and the Western Australian State Team to become the Assistant Coach to Andrew Korn (Head Coach) and Cory Bush (Team Manager).

Justin has had an illustrious playing career in New Zealand and Western Australia and has captained the WA Senior State Team and the Australian Affiliated States Team. His has been very successful in coaching the Under 18 State Representative Team in 2004 and has previously been the Assistant Coach of the Senior State Representative Team also in 2004.
