The Australian Rugby League Development currently employs more than sixty National Development Officers in locations stretching from Perth to Sydney and Cairns to Melbourne. Between them, these officers take on the responsibility of fostering the growth of Rugby League throughout the nation.

Our Development Officers are highly trained and qualified in both Rugby League coaching and dealing with children.

They are committed to working in conjunction with teachers to help promote healthy, active lifestyles amongst school-aged children through the great game of Rugby League.

Telstra Kids to Kangaroo Coaching Clinics

These coaching clinics are run by your local ARL Development Officer; the clinics can be run at your school and consist of 3 hours of skills based coaching. The clinics make for a fun and eventful day for your students.

Joey League and League 7’s

Joey League is a six week round robin competition that introduces students, aged 9 - 10 years, to the game of Rugby League.

Sevens and League Tag are a fun and exciting way of learning how to play the game. League 7’s is also a six week round robin competitions for boys (Sevens) and girls (League Tag) in their first two years of High School. League Sevens is made up of 6 rounds, including skills sessions during the first two rounds.
