Centenary Medals

 

Nominations for the Centenary Medals has now closed. 

 

In the Centenary year 250 volunteers from both the Club and School environments will be awarded an exclusive Centenary Medal for their outstanding volunteer service to the game. These specially produced Medals will be produced by the game and presented at special ceremonies throughout 2008.

 

To be eligible for consideration for a Centenary Medal a nominee:

  • Must not be paid for his or her duties
  • Must have served the game in a volunteer capacity for ten years or more
  • Must have displayed outstanding qualities as a volunteer such as best practice, going “above and beyond the call of duty” and showing innovation
  • Must be nominated by his or her Junior or District Club or School and verified by the Local League or State School body
  • Must be an active volunteer

 

All nominations will be received by the Local Leagues and then forwarded to the State Leagues or State School body.  The State League will determine if the nominee is a suitable recipient of the Medal.  The Medals will be presented at a number of events throughout the Centenary year such as:

  • NRL Club matches

  • Centenary Regional Celebrations

  • State of Origin Matches

  • NRL Finals Series and NRL Grand Final
